Can I view different layers or perspectives of a large Map?
Can I view different layers or perspectives of a large Map?
Yes with the Starter Plan's advanced Mapping features.
Some Mapping users sometimes end up with a large Map with lots of details – this is what you would probably want to maintain on your 'Main View'. If this grows to become complex and overwhelming for people, there are several things that you can do:
Copy that main view to create a simpler copy with many of the objects hidden – this is quick and easy to do. It enables personalised and easy-to-understand stories to be built. Views are the best way to introduce people to a Map that is most relevant to thier viewpoint or gradually build information a layer at a time.
Add a feature here or ask your environment owner about upgrading.
Show-only allows you to show ‘paths’ through a Workspace e.g. show me just the items that contribute to an objective.
Options to turn items on for a map as a build. You can turn off some of the item types on a map and then turn them on one by one as you want to talk them through. Creating a simple build of information.

When managing benefits and capabilities, organisations rely on structured mapping approaches to create clear links between initiatives, outcomes, and strategic goals. These formats provide the frameworks needed to visualise, measure, and deliver value effectively. Below is an overview of the most widely used formats.
Can I link benefits to projects and goals?
Can I link benefits to projects and goals?
Definitely. Every benefit in Wovex can be connected to multiple parts of your change landscape—including initiatives, goals, portfolios, or delivery owners.
This means you can trace how a single benefit contributes to larger strategic outcomes, or how multiple projects might deliver the same benefit. These links also feed directly into tracking and reporting, giving you a clear line of sight from inputs to impact
Can multiple people work on the same map at once?
Can multiple people work on the same map at once?
Yes. Wovex fully supports collaborative editing, so your team can co-create maps in real-time.
Users can work on different parts of the map simultaneously, leave comments, and receive alerts when something changes to accept or overwrite, so everyone stays in sync. You can also assign roles to control who can view, comment on, or edit specific content.
If you’re using published maps, external contributors (like reviewers or stakeholders) can view the map and leave comments, without editing the original version. This allows you to gather feedback safely, then review and refine your map as a team.
Whether you're working live in a workshop or collecting input after publishing, Wovex helps you collaborate effectively while maintaining version control and data integrity.
Can I export a map to share with people who don’t use Wovex?
Can I export a map to share with people who don’t use Wovex?
Yes. You can export maps as high-quality PDFs or images for reports, briefings, or board packs.
If you're on the Starter Plan or higher, you can also publish maps online, allowing people to view and comment on them, even if they don't have a Wovex login. This is perfect for stakeholder engagement, consultation, or light-touch collaboration.
Do we have to enter data twice in maps and registers of information?
Do we have to enter data twice in maps and registers of information?
No, data only needs to be entered once in Wovex. Maps and the Workspace of information and reports are fully integrated, meaning that any item title or details edited in one area is automatically reflected across the system.
For example:
Create an Initiative, Benefit, or Measure in a map, and it will instantly appear in your Workspace.
If you update titles or use AI to create descriptions in the Workspace, those changes will be reflected in the map too.
This seamless connection eliminates duplication, ensures consistency, and allows for efficient data management across different views and user roles. Everything stays connected and up to date.
