Wovex Assist FAQs

Short answers to common questions about Wovex Assist.

Is Wovex Assist free?

Yes. Wovex Assist has a free plan with a monthly analysis allowance.

What is an analysis?

An analysis is counted when you ask Wovex Assist to generate an output.

For example, selecting Show Outcomes, generating goals, generating outcomes or generating measures may count as analyses.

How much text can I enter?

The free version of Wovex Assist lets you enter up to 8,000 characters at a time.

If your source material is longer than this, paste the most relevant section first, summarise the key points, or run separate sections through the tool one at a time.

Do I need a Wovex workspace to use Wovex Assist?

No. Wovex Assist is a standalone free app.

You can use it without setting up a paid Wovex workspace.

What can Wovex Assist generate?

Depending on the option you choose, Wovex Assist can generate:

  • draft outcomes

  • draft goals

  • draft measures

  • possible initiative names and descriptions

  • measure context and categories

Can I use Wovex Assist if I am new to benefits work?

Yes.

Wovex Assist gives you a practical structure to follow, so you can focus on your project text and start seeing what good goals, outcomes and measures might look like in context.

You do not need to know the perfect terminology before you start. The draft output gives you something to review, challenge and improve.

Can I use Wovex Assist with sponsors or senior leaders?

Yes.

The output can be useful as a conversation starter. You can share the draft and ask:

  • Does this reflect what we are trying to achieve?

  • Are these the outcomes that matter?

  • What is missing?

  • Which measures would be credible?

  • What would need to be checked before we rely on this?

This is often easier than asking people to define goals, outcomes and measures from a blank page.

Does Wovex Assist follow government or programme guidance?

Wovex Assist is designed around Wovex’s benefits realisation experience and recognised approaches from benefits management, programme management and public sector guidance.

It helps you apply that structure while working with your own material, rather than having to interpret guidance from scratch before you can make progress.

You should still review the output against your organisation’s own methods, governance and terminology.

Can’t I just use general AI tools for this?

General AI tools can be useful for generating ideas, but Wovex Assist is designed specifically for benefits realisation work.

Instead of starting with an open prompt box, Wovex Assist guides you through goals, outcomes and measures. This helps create a more consistent first draft without needing to write the perfect prompt.

It also adds benefits-specific context, such as whether measures are likely to be financial or non-financial, and whether they are more likely to be leading or lagging indicators.

Wovex Assist is also part of the wider Wovex journey, so the ideas generated can become a starting point for benefits maps, benefits registers, tracking, reporting, assurance and Value Defence™ in the full Wovex product.

Can I use the results in a business case?

Use the results as draft input for review, not as final approved business case content.

Measures, assumptions, ownership, baselines, data sources and evidence should be reviewed before use.

Are the results final?

No. The results are draft suggestions.

You should review, challenge and refine them before using them in live work.

What should I do if the output is too generic?

Add more context.

For example, include:

  • the problem you are trying to solve

  • the affected groups

  • the strategic context

  • the service, process or operational area

  • what good would look like

  • the type of measures you want to explore

  • any wording or framework you want it to reflect

The output usually improves when the input is more specific.

What should I do if the output is not right?

Treat it as a prompt for review.

You can:

  • remove what does not fit

  • edit the wording

  • add more context

  • give clearer instructions

  • run the analysis again

  • check the output with colleagues or subject matter experts

The aim is not to accept everything the tool suggests. The aim is to get a useful first draft that helps you think and discuss more clearly.

Can I download the results?

Yes. You can download selected results as CSV files or email selected results.

Can I import the results into Wovex?

Yes, CSV outputs can be used as starting material for a Wovex workspace import, where appropriate, after review.

Does Wovex Assist replace Benefits Map Builder?

No. Wovex Assist helps you generate the first cut.

Benefits Map Builder helps you turn those ideas into clearer benefits maps and logic.

Does Wovex Assist replace a benefits register?

No. If you need ownership, status, assumptions, relationships and team management, Benefits Register Workspace is designed for that.

Does Wovex Assist track benefits over time?

No. Wovex Assist helps generate draft ideas.

If you need actuals, forecasts, variance, data collection, calculations and performance reporting, Benefits Performance Hub is designed for that.

Is my text used to train large language models?

No. The text you enter is not used to train large language models.

What should I avoid entering?

Do not enter passwords, highly sensitive information or anything your organisation would not allow you to use in an external system.

If you work in a public sector, regulated or high-security environment, follow your organisation’s own information handling rules.

Can I reuse organisational context?

This is coming soon.

Wovex Assist is being developed so you will be able to add information and strategic goals that can be reused. This will help future results reflect your organisation’s context, objectives and language, rather than asking you to paste the same background information each time.

How is Wovex Assist being improved?

Wovex Assist has been shaped with feedback from people who understand benefits, measures, projects, change and value.

We have been working with experienced practitioners to refine the tool, understand where it is most useful, and improve the outputs so they better support real benefits work.

Summary

Wovex Assist is a free AI app for turning early text into draft goals, outcomes, measures and initiative ideas.

It helps you get to a better starting point faster, but the outputs should always be reviewed and refined before use.
